WPA collaboration activity 2014

FAVA-WPA collaboration activity 2014

In a landmark initiative between World Animal Protection, Federation of Asian Veterinary Associations (FAVA), the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University and the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of the Philippines Los Banos, the first online animal welfare training for veterinarians in the Asia Pacific region will be rolled out. This course will increase understanding of the basic concepts behind animal welfare science, ethics and law, and how these concepts are relevant to the veterinary profession in Asia.

This course represents an innovative step in our Advanced Concepts of Animal Welfare (ACAW) programme that will allow greater access for vets to increase their professional development and implement animal welfare principles into veterinary work. The course is expected to start in September with an initial capacity for 50 participants. More information on this ground-breaking course will be available soon!
