FAVA office, Bangkok participated the “Regional workshop for Private Sector Engagement on Antimicrobial Resistance”, organized by the FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (FAO RAP) in collaboration with Tripartite Partners (WHO and WOAH) in the context of the Regional Tripartite AMR Project “Working Together to Fight AMR in Asia” funded by the European Commission. The regional workshop was held during 23 – 24 June 2025 at Avani Bangkok Hotel, Bangkok Thailand. The objectives of the workshop include: sharing best practises among project countries involving private sector, success stories of private sector engagement, development of key communication messages, how improvement of AMR related regulatory framework can support efforts in engaging the private sector and wider AMR mitigation efforts at global, regional and country levels. The workshop brought together competent authorities about 100 participants who involved in animal (both terrestrial and aquatic) food and feed production, food safety and animal health sector from project countries (China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and Republic of Korea), private sector stakeholders, and representatives from global, regional and country offices, FAVA and partners including FAO, WHO, WOAH. The workshop gained successful outcomes with strong networks among multi-stakeholder on fighting AMR in the future.
