National Conference of Nepal Veterinary Association


National Conference of Nepal Veterinary Association during 27-30 May in Kathmandu, Nepal. He delivered warm greetings in the open ceremony and presented a study on decreasing of household dog population in Taiwan. A cheerful event witnessed by Dr. Chiang was the MOU of Nepal Veterinary Association and Veterinary Association of Malaysia. It will make NVA and VAM a good relationship and cooperation. The MOU was signed by the president of NVA, Dr. Bimal Nirmal and the president of VAM, Dr, Vincent Ng. The vice president of Vietnam Veterinary Association, Dr. Tran Tu also joined this big event.

FASAVA 2014 in Beijing

President Dr. Johnson Chiang was invited by Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Associations to deliver a lecture of animal welfare at the FASAVA Congress 2014 in Beijing from 12, May to 15, May. At the same time, Dr. Chiang was interviewed by a popular pet program of TV in China to explain the role and missions of vet.

President of FAVA, Dr. Johnson Chiang was invited by Korea Animal Hospital Association to deliver a speech and lecture at 10th KAHA International Congress in Seoul during 10-11, May 2014. The topic of Dr. Chiang’s lecture is “The Role of Vet to Companion Animal Welfare”. At this Congress, Dr. Chiang had a very good communication on the FAVA issues with president of Korea Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. O-K, Kim and president of KAHA, Dr. Juhyung Hur.

FAVA in Trade Show VIV Europe 2014


Dr. Achariya Sailasuta, FAVA Secretary General was invited by VNU Exhibition Europe to be the guest visiting Live stock Trade Show, VIV Europe 2014, during 20 – 22 May , 2014, Jaarbeurs, Utrecth, the Netherlands.

In this exhibition, FAVA also promoted FAVA – ILDEX seminar and VIV Asia 2015 seminar in 2015. During the meeting, Dr. Tjeerd Jorna, Immediate Past President of WVA has accompanied FAVA to visit Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht University, in Utrecht.
This is a successful meeting for the collaboration with the European livestock industry in the future.

NAVSAW

Dr. Achariya Sailasuta, FAVA Secretary General participated and facilitated the “Network of ASEAN Veterinary Students for Animal Welfare (NAVSAW)” during 17th -19th April, 2014 at Chulalongkorn University, Nakornpathom and Bangkok, Thailand. The project of NAVSAW is created for a collaboration of ASEAN veterinary schools . Financial support the project is the ASEAN Studies Center of Chulalongkorn University. There are 3 guest speakers from the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA). The objectives are to concern on animal welfare and expand the concepts in their own countries. The meeting was consisted of 11 universities from 8 countries which are;

The NAVSAW members agreed to create a 1 to 2-year-project for a campaign on animal welfare issue that suits to their regions. It has been successfully done on animal promoting the animal welfare in veterinary schools.

Dr. Achariya Sailasuta, FAVA Secretary General participated the Regional Welfare Strategy Coordination Group Meeting 7 hosted by OIE on 24th March, 2014, Bangkok, Thailand. The meeting provided advice on the development and implementation of the Regional Animal Welfare Strategy for Asia, the Far East and Oceania. This year, FAVA has many activities collaborating with WSPA, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand and College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Philippines, Los Banos, Philippines.

Dr. Johnson Chiang, President of FAVA, was invited to attend the 75th anniversary celebration and the international conference of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Khartoum, Sudan. Hundreds of Sudanese veterinarians and degelates from more than 10 countries gathered together to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee (1938~2013) of Veterinary Medicine, University of Khartoum. The president of African Veterinary Association (AVA), Dr. Faouzi Kechrid and the president elected of Panamerican Veterinary Association (PANVET), Dr. Maria Nelly Cajiao were invited to attend the big event. Globally, to advance the veterinary profession, to promote animal health, animal welfare and public health, to increase veterinary biosecurity, to prevent animal disease and zoonosis, FAVA, AVA and PANVET believe in working together, offering support to each other and respect each organiation will achieve these goals. Under the witnesses of Minister of Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries, Rangelands, Dr. Faysal Ibrhim, Chancellor of University of Khartoum, Dr. EL Dafalla, President of University of Veterinary Medicine, Hannover, Dr. Gerhard Greif, delegates from differents countries and many presses, FAVA-AVA, FAVA-PANVET, AVA-PANVET signed the MOU. This activity is agreed to the FAVA Strategy plans, 2010-2015.

VNU Exhibitions’ Livestock Network Stronger Than Ever After Signing the 3-Years MoU with FAVA
Bangkok, Thailand – 11th February 2014 – VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific and Federation of Asian Veterinary Associations or FAVA today signed a memorandum of understanding to intensify collaboration in creating strong network and relationship with livestock industry partners and improving content and management in VIV Asia and ILDEX Exhibitions.

The MoU commits the two organizations to share knowledge and expertise relating to the livestock and aquaculture industry. The jointly host seminars, workshops and training events will be utilized in VIV Asia in Thailand and ILDEX Exhibitions in Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia and Cambodia during 2014 – 2016. Moreover, the student scholarship programs will be presented in Southeast Asia, South Asia and China.

His Excellency Mr. Joan A. Boer, the Ambassador to Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangkok mentioned that “Innovations are needed to scale up production effectively. Not by copying Dutch technology, but by developing tailor made solutions that are adapted to local circumstances. Using our knowledge, our drive for innovation, our entrepreneurship and international outlook we will continue to be the frontrunners when it comes to adding value, knowledge and innovation, increased productivity and sustainable production around the world. The increased focus on food quality and animal welfare is both an opportunity and a challenge for producers. VNU in cooperation with FAVA can provide an excellent platform to bring together people from all over the world to jointly face the challenges that lie ahead in animal production in Asia and realize the great opportunities that Asia has to offer.”

The MOU comes at a time when VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific, the 2-years old joint venture company of VNU Exhibitions Europe and TCC Exhibition and Convention Center, is achieving the high growth performance by managing and organizing more than 8 livestock exhibitions and conferences in Southeast Asia. With the corporation of FAVA, VNU Exhibitions will become stronger than ever in connecting to worldwide veterinary network.

“FAVA’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of the people in the region through responsible animal care and welfare through unified professional associations. In 2015, ASEAN will become one community; therefore we should be ready for the change in many aspects. This diversity

In order to grow and address the future challenge in AEC, FAVA agreed to collaborate with VNU Exhibitions Europe and VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific to create a regional network in AEC and among FAVA members. Our government supports these exhibitions by organizing a Holland pavilion, where Dutch businesses are represented individually. The next events in which we will join forces is the 5th edition of ILDEX Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City from 19-21 March 2014 and of course VIV 2015. For ILDEX we are making preparations for the Dutch pavilion, matchmaking and a network event. At the signing ceremony, VIV Asia 2015 and VIV Europe 2014’s latest updates were also presented. “VIV Europe 2014 will be held from May 20 – 22, 2014 at Jaarbeurs, Utrecht, the Netherlands and ready to welcome and inform feed industry executives from around the world. We always cover the agribusiness spectrum from feed to meat in every VIV event. But Utrecht in May will underline the feed aspect in several ways. By our preliminary calculation there will be more than 40 exhibitors with machinery or equipment for feed mills. In addition to that, about 15 companies supplying feed manufacturing systems will be represented on the stands forming a special CropTech-FeedTech pavilion. The VIP Programs are also arranged for Southeast Asia buyers which you can contact VNU Exhibitions in Bangkok for the special package,” said Mr.Ruwan Berculo, VIV Project Manager, VNU Exhibitions Europe.

Mrs.Ladda Mongkolchaivivat, General Manager of VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific has presented the overview of ILDEX Exhibitions which are organized in ASEAN countries; Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia and Cambodia. ILDEX’s aim is to bring in the country’ new international technologies and build the platforms for market opportunities while maintaining a localized approach.

กรุงเทพมหานคร ประเทศไทย – วันที่ 11 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2557 – บริษัท วีเอ็นยู เอ็กซิบิชั่นส์ เอเชีย แปซิฟิค จำกัด และสมาพันธ์สมาคมสัตวแพทย์แห่งเอเชียหรือ FAVA ได้ร่วมกันลงนามบันทึกความร่วมมือเพื่อแสดงเจตนารมย์และความร่วมมือในพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์และเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายภาคธุรกิจในอุตสาหกรรมปศุสัตว์ รวมถึงพัฒนารูปแบบและเนื้อหาการจัดงานแสดงสินค้า VIV Asia และ ILDEX

บันทึกความร่วมมือดังกล่าวเป็นการให้คำมั่นว่าองค์กรทั้งสองจะแบ่งปันความรู้และความเชี่ยวชาญด้านอุตสาหกรรมปศุสัตว์และการเพาะเลี้ยงสัตว์น้ำ โดยร่วมกันเป็นผู้จัดการประชุมเชิงวิชาการ การประชุมเชิงปฎิบัติการ และการอบรมสัมมนาภายในงานแสดงสินค้า VIV Asia ในประเทศไทย และงาน ILDEX ในประเทศพม่า เวียดนาม อินโดนีเซีย และกัมพูชา ระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2557-2559 รวมถึงโครงการมอบทุนการศึกษาให้กับนักเรียน นักศึกษา ในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ เอเชียใต้ และประเทศจีน อีกด้วย

บันทึกความร่วมมือ ดังกล่าวนี้ เกิดขึ้นจากการเติบโตและประสบความสำเร็จจากการบริหารจัดงานแสดงสินค้าและนิทรรศการด้านปศุสัตว์ มากกว่า 8 งาน ในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ของ บริษัท วีเอ็นยู เอ็กซิบิชั่นส์ เอเชีย แปซิฟิค จำกัด ซึ่งก่อตั้งได้เพียง 2 ปี จากการร่วมทุนระหว่าง บริษัท วีเอ็นยู เอ็กซิบิชั่นส์ ยุโรป จำกัด และบริษัท ทีซีซี เอ็กซิบิชั่น แอนด์ คอนเวนชั่น เซ็นเตอร์ จำกัด และด้วยความร่วมมือจากสมาพันธ์สมาคมสัตวแพทย์แห่งเอเชีย จะทำให้วีเอ็นยู แข็งแกร่งมากยิ่งขึ้นกว่าที่เคย ด้วยการเชื่อมโยงเครือข่ายกับสัตวแพทย์จากทั่วโลก

ทั้งนี้ ในพิธีลงนามมีการนำเสนอข้อมูลล่าสุดเกี่ยวกับงานแสดงสินค้า VIV Asia พ.ศ. 2558 และงานแสดงสินค้า VIV Europe 2557 โดยมร.รุวัน เบอร์คุโล ผู้จัดการโครงการ VIV จาก บริษัท วีเอ็นยู เอ็กซิบิชั่นส์ ยุโรป จำกัด กล่าวว่า “งานแสดงสินค้า VIV Europe พ.ศ. 2557 จะจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 20-22 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2557 ศูนย์การประชุมและแสดงนิทรรศการจาร์เบอร์ส ณ เมืองอูเทร็คท์ สหราชอาณาจักรเนเธอร์แลนด์นั้น พร้อมที่จะต้อนรับและให้ข้อมูลอย่างครบวงจรแก่นักธุรกิจอุตสาหกรรมอาหารและปศุสัตว์จากทั่วโลก คณะผู้จัดงานฯ ได้รวบรวมสินค้าและบริการในธุรกิจปศุสัตว์ ตั้งแต่ผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารสัตว์ไปจนถึงผลิตภัณฑ์เนื้อสัตว์ สำหรับงานในเดือนพฤษภาคมที่เมืองอูเทร็คท์ จะเน้นความสำคัญไปที่ผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารสัตว์ในหลายแง่มุม โดยคาดว่าจะมีผู้เข้าร่วมจัดแสดงสินค้ากลุ่มเครื่องจักรสำหรับโรงงานผลิตอาหารสัตว์มากกว่า 40 ราย นอกจากนี้ยังมีผู้มีให้บริการระบบการผลิตอาหารสัตว์ จำนวนมากกว่า 15 ราย มาจัดแสดงสินค้าในพาวิลเลียนพิเศษภายใต้แนวคิด CropTech-FeedTech หรือ สุดยอดนวัตกรรมการผลิตอาหารสัตว์และเมล็ดพันธ์ นอกจากนี้ ยังมีโปรแกรมสุดพิเศษ ต้อนรับกลุ่มผู้ซื้อระดับ VIP จากภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยสามารถติดต่อรับรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมได้ที่ สำนักงานกรุงเทพฯ บริษัท วีเอ็นยู เอ็กซิบิชั่นส์ เอเชีย แปซิฟิค จำกัด”

นอกจากนี้ คุณลัดดา มงคลชัยวิวัฒน์ ผู้จัดการทั่วไป บริษัท วีเอ็นยู เอ็กซิบิชั่นส์ เอเชีย แปซิฟิค จำกัด ยังได้นำเสนอภาพรวมของงาน ILDEX หรืองานแสดงเทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรมด้านการผลิตและการแปรรูปปศุสัตว์และสัตว์น้ำ ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นในเขตภูมิภาคอาเซียน ได้แก่ ประเทศไทย พม่า เวียดนาม อินโดนีเซีย และกัมพูชา โดยนำสุดยอดเทคโนโลยีและวิทยาการความรู้สมัยใหม่ให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของเกษตรกรหรือองค์กรท้องถิ่นในแต่ละประเทศ เพื่อสร้างรากฐานการดำเนินธุรกิจให้สามารถแข่งขันได้ในตลาดและเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน

ภายในพิธีลงนามในบันทึกความเข้าใจมีผู้เข้าร่วมจากหลายภาคส่วนในอุตสาหกรรมปศุสัตว์ ได้แก่ รองอธิบดีกรมปศุสัตว์, รองผู้อำนวย สายงานบริหารและการสนับสนุนกลยุทธ์ สำนักงานส่งเสริมการจัดการประชุม และ นิทรรศการ, ผู้อำนวยการประจำประเทศไทย สมาคมพิทักษ์สัตว์แห่งโลก, สำนักงานภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิค องค์การอาหาร และการเกษตรแห่งสหประชาชาติ, นายกสัตวแพทยสภาแห่งประเทศไทย, นายกสมาคมสัตวบาลแห่งประเทศไทย และสื่อมวลชนหลายสาขา
