PVMA Outstanding Veterinarian Awards (OVA)

FAVA extends its warmest congratulations to FAVA Treasurer Dr. Corazon P. Occidental for being accorded the highest honor of the PVMA Outstanding Veterinarian Awards (OVA) during the 92nd PVMA Convention in Davao City last 19 February,2025.

The Distinguished Professional Service Award honors veterinarians whose careers embody dedication, leadership, and service beyond measure.

Dr. Occidental is a true trailblazer, representing Filipino veterinarians on the global stage through her role in FAVA where she continues to be a steadfast advocate for antimicrobial stewardship, championing responsible veterinary practices to combat one of the greatest challenges in animal and human health today.

Dr. Occidental’s commitment extends far beyond a single cause. Throughout her career, she has played a vital role in numerous organizations, including leadership of the PVMA, from leading efforts in animal health emergency response to strengthening local industries.
